If you feel like you need an evening full of jazz, wine and groovy rhythms, you’re in luck! This Saturday, Storeroom is presenting The ASEO Quintet – a Rotterdam-based jazz group led by Aseo Friesacher.

Inspired by the likes of Oscar Peterson, Dave Brubeck and Didier Squiban, the Viennese pianist/composer has a wide range of experience in Vienna’s jazz scene. Since winning first prize at the Podium.Jazz Competition in Austria, back in 2014, the young artist has played in various formations and has honed his craft at the Vienna Conservatory of Music & Arts. He is currently furthering his studies at the Codarts University in Rotterdam.

His compositions can be described as a beautiful concoction of modern jazz, classical and Latin music. The quintet will also feature local talents Dean Montanaro on bass and William Smith on drums – two young Maltese jazz musicians who are making waves in Rotterdam’s jazz scene. Furthermore, Aseo Friesacher will be teaming up with members from the Loek Van Den Berg Quintet to deliver a spectacular performance that will undoubtedly mesmerize the audience!

You really don’t want to miss this if you’re a jazz fan!
