Valiantis

Valiantis has been a force in the Maltese metal scene since 2020, performing at clubs and venues across Malta and steadily forging its own musical identity. The band consists of André on lead vocals and frontman duties, Johnnie and Glen on guitars, Bagigu on bass, JP on drums, their latest addition, Maria on Keyboards and Alison providing backing vocals. Derived from the word Valiant, symbolising courage, strength, and resilience, and suffixed with 'is' to evoke the sense of a realm or place, Valiantis can be interpreted as "The Land of the Brave". The name perfectly reflects the band's post-apocalyptic stage persona, brought to life through striking face paint, battle-worn attire, and a powerful visual identity that embodies survival, defiance, and the enduring spirit of heavy metal. What began as a passion for performing classic metal covers quickly evolved into something far greater. As Valiantis developed its own distinctive sound, original compositions gradually took over the stage. Today, the band proudly performs a full set of original material that reflects its musical influences, energy, and dedication to the genre. With recordings currently underway for their debut EP and plans for their first full-length album already in sight, Valiantis continues to push forward with ambition and determination. More than six years after its formation, the band's journey is far from over—the best is yet to come as Valiantis looks to grow its presence and leave its mark on the Maltese metal scene and beyond.
