Glitch Festival 2026: 10 Years of Electronic Music in Malta

Glitch Festival 2026: 10 Years of Electronic Music in Malta

Glitch Festival turns ten this year - and the lineup reflects it. Over four days from August 12-15, Malta plays host to one of the most stacked electronic music programmes the island has ever seen. 100+ artists, multiple stages, and a decade's worth of momentum behind it.

The Programme

Opening Party - August 12, Valletta

It starts on the UNESCO bastions of Valletta with an intimate opening night. Daria Kolosova, KI/KI B2B Cloudy, Patrick Mason, and Reactant set the tone. If you've been to a Glitch opening before, you know what this is - the calm before the storm, in one of the most stunning settings in the Mediterranean.

Day 1 - August 13, Gianpula Village

The main event kicks off at Gianpula with a monster bill. Ben Klock B2B Rodhad is the one everyone will be talking about - two titans of Berlin techno going back to back. SPFDJ pulls double duty, appearing solo and B2B with Mischluft. VTSS, Job Jobse, Sally C, X Club, Dax J B2B Lars Huismann, and Chris Stussy round out a day that covers everything from warehouse techno to garage and house.

Local representation comes from DJ IP B2B Fenrick, Kyle Cortis, Kyle Starkey, Manthrax B2B Sean Rickett, and Spriitzz with a live set.

Day 2 - August 14, Gianpula Village

Day two brings the headliner. Amelie Lens tops the bill - one of the biggest names in electronic music right now. DJ Nobu B2B Wata Igarashi is the connoisseur's pick - two Japanese techno legends in a pairing that rarely happens outside of Tokyo. Henning Baer, Hyperaktivist, GiGi FM, and Bella Claxton add more weight to an already heavy programme.

Closing - August 15

The festival wraps up on August 15. Full details for the closing are yet to be confirmed, but if past editions are anything to go by, expect one final push before the lights come on.

Why It Matters

Ten years is a long time for any festival, let alone one on a small island in the Mediterranean. Glitch has grown from a niche event into one of Europe's most respected underground electronic festivals. It's put Malta on the map for international electronic music, bringing in world-class talent while consistently giving local DJs and producers a platform alongside them.

Whether you're into industrial techno, deep house, garage, or experimental electronics - Glitch has something. And at ten years in, it's clearly not slowing down.
